Los Angeles

Los Angeles, California is the U.S.’s second most popular tourist destination and includes many of the places that most people come to associate with LA: Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Bel-Air, Santa Monica, and Universal City.

Los Angeles has a population of almost 4 million residents, including some of the world’s most well-known actors, directors, musicians, and producers. It also serves as a home to most of the biggest film and music industries in mainstream cinema and music today.

Whether you enjoy the sunny weather or the glitz and glamor of Hollywood, Los Angeles has a wealth of things to do and places to see for the curious tourist. Take a stroll down the Walk of Fame and visit the Graumman Chinese Theater in Hollywood or embark on a tour guide of celebrity homes in Beverly Hills.

For fun dining, drop by the Hard Rock Café or Planet Hollywood. Brought the kids? Keep them entertained with a visit to Universal Studios or a day at the beach – Santa Monica or Long Beach, to be exact.

While Los Angeles traffic is notorious for being awful, the city has made a move in recent years towards providing better public transportation for its denizens and tourists to combat long commute times and air pollution.

LA now boasts the second largest public transportation agency in the nation, with over 1,500 buses that take you nearly anywhere and a state of the art subway system that can take you from Downtown Los Angeles to Hollywood in only 12 minutes!
