In the summer, Wyoming celebrates its unique heritage with statewide festivals celebrating Native American history and the mystique of the Wild West cowboy. Fishing, hunting, and golf are also popular outdoor activities in Wyoming’s great outdoors. Kids will enjoy visiting a dig site at a dinosaur center—where else can you practice paleontology on your vacation? If you feel like staying inside for a while, stop by the Buffalo Bill Historical Museum in Cody, one of the best Americana collections anywhere, or the Old West Museum in Cheyenne.
